Ok so in reality I bought a new car because my previous car, a pickup truck, was on a lease way over miles and my mom was pissed at me because I wanted to get out of a lease and get my own car without her. She was also mad at me because she does not like when I have independence from her, she wants to control my finances because she wants to control me. So I had a dream last night that I was driving the old truck with my childhood dog in the passenger seat. There were train tracks and a train was coming, it was too late to slam on the brakes so I sped up and got hit by the train. In the first moment on impact I grabbed my dog and held him to my chest to protect him as the passenger side was completely crumpled. as the train continues to hit me in the truck with each train car the truck got smaller and smaller getting crumpled in, but the driver seat is not getting crumpled - my dog and i are safe. as each train car keeps hitting my truck i keep repeating 'I am ok, and it is going to be ok' then the dream just ended
This dream may reflect your current struggle for independence and autonomy from your mother, as shown by your decision to get your own car and break away from the control she wants to exert over you. The presence of your childhood dog in the dream could symbolize comfort, loyalty, and protection during this period of transition and change.
The train tracks and oncoming train could represent the challenges and obstacles you are facing in asserting your independence and making your own decisions. The decision to speed up and brace for impact instead of trying to avoid the train could symbolize your determination and courage in facing these challenges head-on.
The repeated mantra of "I am ok, and it is going to be ok" may suggest that despite the difficulties and setbacks you may encounter in asserting your independence, you have the inner strength to overcome them. The fact that you and your dog remained safe throughout the ordeal in the dream could indicate that you will ultimately come out of this period of change and transition unharmed, with your core values and sense of self intact.
Overall, this dream may be reflecting your inner resilience, determination, and belief in yourself as you navigate the challenges of breaking away from control and seeking independence in various aspects of your life. It may be a message to trust in your own abilities and stay true to yourself despite external pressures or obstacles.
